Country Christmas at Craft Junkie Too!!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas -- we sure did.  Lots of family time and lots of yummy food, entertainment, and all around good times.  Its great to get together and have fun!

I wanted to share a few pictures of my Country Christmas decor with you.  I'm a true country crafter through and through and it works for me!

My tree has tons of ornaments…..I actually put on ornaments for days - literally….I'd do a few, quit and return later or the next day.  It was so fun.  I have a EZ Rotating Tree stand (got mine at Garden Ridge Pottery about 5 years ago and paid 89.00 -- they've come down about 20 bucks since then) and my whole tree rotates -- I love sitting on my sofa watching my tree and admiring all of my special ornaments.  It's definitely one of my essential Christmas decorating items I must have!  Most of these ornaments were given to me, handmade by friends, a few are purchased but not many.

How do I acquire so many ornaments?
Years ago I was part of a group that would "swap" handmade primitive country ornaments.  Depending how many ladies wanted to participate (usually between 30-40) we'd each make that many of the same ornament, send (mail them) to the person in charge and in a few weeks we'd get back a box full of different ornaments.  It was a ton of work (to handcraft 40 ornaments) but to receive a box back with 40 different handmade ornaments was divine.

All of these ornaments are mine; both of my boys have their own tree with their own ornaments.

Here is a picture of my faux fireplace mantel.

I've collected Santas for around 20 years and had quite a collection.  This year I decided I needed to slim down on the holiday items and depleted my Santa collection.  I kept several of my favorites, sentimental, and close to my heart ones that are so special including this fabric stuffed American Santa that my husband gave me several years ago.  I just love him!

….a few more…

Merry Christmas from me to you!!

My big happy family!!

Here is a picture of Skyler and Spencer on Christmas morning right after our Church service in front of the manger scene at the side alter.  Stunning!

and I thought I'd share this cutie with you….
Spencer is all "smiles" when Santa brought him a football helmet, jersey with "shoulder" pads and pants!

Here is some front porch outside holiday decor….

Thanks for visiting and wishing you a wonderful and prospered New Year!

♥Tracy

  5. can I just come and live at your house for a few days? I am in love with your country house. unfortunately, in the SF Bay Area where I live, there is not much country. It's mostly modern. I love antiques too.

    happy new year

  6. Wow..beautiful decorations. My tree has over 200 ornaments. I love lots and lots of ornaments..all kinds. I really need to invest in the spinning tree stand. Its hard job getting all the ornaments on the back of the tree, but I do it. I know the spinning stand would help a lot. TFS I hope you and your family have a Happy New Year!!

    Hugs, Sheena
