I followed her fabulous directions to the "T" and they turned out perfect-o. I took mine out of the oven in about 4 1/2 minutes because they had the "shiny look" that she was talking about in her tutorial here. This just goes to show us that all ovens do vary…so adjust your time accordingly.

I found a jug of holiday shaped pretzels at Sam's Club. The shapes include stars, trees and bells. After finishing these snacks I definitely like the stars the best.
Ingredients:
- Pretzels
- red & green M & M's
- Hershey's Kisses - Candy Cane (or any flavor will do)
- cookie sheet (lined with parchment paper, wax paper or foil)
- *note* 1 bag of Hershey's kisses made about 62 holiday pretzels.
First I spread out stars and trees onto my foil lined cookie sheet
(not using the bells)
Heat oven 170º degrees -- top each pretzel with a candy cane kiss and put cookie sheet inside oven.
Mine were ready in 4 1/2 minutes so please check for a shiny kiss (not melted -- it should still have it's kiss shape). This is an indication they are ready. Remove sheet from oven.
Gently press m & m's candy into the kiss (m) side down into the kiss; it should mash in smooth and immediately if not place back in oven for more melting time. Too harden place entire cookie sheet in freezer.
These little treats are simple and yummy!
Aren't they pretty?

Fantastic! I love it! I do something similar, instead of Kisses I use Rolos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea.... I am going to get the goodies and make some as I have neighbors that I give little treats too and was at a loss of what to give this year. Thanks!
