School's Out for Summer ~ #166

Happy Sunday and welcome to Day #2 of the What's you Summer Blog Hop hosted by Ashley.

If you are following the hop you came from the super duper talented Momo's blog.

For my project today I am using the adorable digi images by Digital Delights by Louby Loo. Digi images saves lots of time in crafting and especially scrapbooking. Just print out the image from your computer, cut out and design your project how you'd like. In this project I am using the School Bus and the Checkerboard frame that can be found in the DDLL Digi Shop. All of the images are very reasonably priced and are so super adorable. Click here to visit the shop to see an array of digital delights. :)

Checkerboard frame ~ add your own text from your computer.
All images come in .jpg and .png format.
Click here to check it out.
Sun ~ 28mm iTop punch

Isn't the bus sooo stinkin' adorable? Find it here in the DDLL Digi Shop!
It's only $1.00 -- WOW!

To continue with the hop head over to my super talented friend Tanya's blog to see what she created for us.

What's Your Summer Blog Hop ~ Pool Party Scrapbook Pages

Welcome to the What's your Summer Blog Hop hosted by Ms. Ashley at My Scrappin' Palace. Thank you Ashley for inviting me to hop along today. :)

If you are following the hop you should have arrived from my super talented friend Ms. Momo's blog. Wow -- what a hard act to follow. :)

Today's project's are all about summer and our favorite things to do.

-----
My sister Tina has a beautiful backyard pool and we get together frequently to hang out by the their pool, grill up some burgers and watch the kids swim or play a game of volleyball in the pool -- in fact it's our favorite thing to do during the summer.
I created this layout for some of our summer pictures.
Simple but fun!

I used the Seasonal cartridge Luau for the images.
Click HERE to see the images.

I adhered the ribbon on the back side of each photo mat, loosely tying a knot around the front. I didn't adhere the ribbon down in the front as I will need this space to slip my picture in.

I used my white gel pen on the palm tree and brown marker for extra doodling around all of the photo mats and images.

The sun is cut at 4 inches

Pool Party is cut at 7" fit to length -- I used my Copic markers to color the drink glass, straw and fruit on the cup. There is not a shadow for Pool Party so I created my own using blue card stock and cutting around for a shadow effect.

Now hop on over to the super talented Tanya's blog to continue with the hop.
Thanks for stopping by and have a SUPER day!

Come back tomorrow as I will have another project tutorial for you.

New Team of CJToo Crafty Designers & Giveaway

Hi everyone and welcome!!.

It's a very special day for me because I get to introduce you to my wonderful CJToo Crafty Designers Team.
I want to thank you all who submitted photos and information for consideration.

Today is introductions and tomorrow we'll be back with our first Design Team projects for your viewing pleasure! :) So stay tuned!

----------

Cheryl ~

{Design Team Leader}

My name is Cheryl Gaffney. I live in Vancouver, WA with my family!! I am a SAHM to two wonderful boys, Bryce is 8 and Owen is 5. My lovely Husband, Roy works hard so that I can keep up with crafting, you know how important hobbies are!!

I started crafting hardcore when I purchased my Cricut Expression in April. I just started my blog, CardsbyCG.blogspot.com in late July of 2010, just one month after I opened a little Etsy store!

I am proud to say that I handcraft a birthday card for each member of both my family and my husband's family (including cousins, aunts, uncles etc.). I'd like to think that the cards end up in some cherished place of honor, but who knows. :)

I'd love to share my crafting journey with you! - Cheryl

...........

My name is Indira Perez. I live in Dominican Republic, is an island on the Caribbean. I´m married with two children. My boy has 6 years old and my little girl has 3 years. I have a full time job, so my craft time is at night, when my kiddos are sleeping. I love to crafts, since I was young, I learn different crafts, like sew, make candles, cross stitch. When my first kid born I saw a publication on the newspaper talking about scrapbooking and offering a class, so I took it and I loved it. I started making scrapbook pages and then I found YouTube, and It´s my perdition, LOL. I learned there how to make cards and learn more about scrapbooking, blogs and all the beauty of this art. I have learn a lot with all you that share all your knowledge with other, for that reason, I want to share with other what I have learn, so I started my blog, craftyhomemade.blogspot.com. In there, I try to put everything I made, that is relative to the craft world. I hope you stop and enjoy it.

........................

I moved from Madison, Wisconsin about 1-1/2 years ago and relocated to Arizona with my DH Jack. I am retired from working in the medical field (Hospice Worker). I am seriously a HAPPY person and found that my move to Arizona has allowed me to "Live My Dream". I have to say that my glass is always Half Full!

I have three children (1-son Michael/St Louis.....2-daughters Cheryl & Jenni/Wisconsin) and 3-step sons Gabe/Peter and Adam. I have 6-amazing grandchildren and 6-step grandchildren.....LIFE IS GOOD! I am so flipped out crazy about being a grandmother - I make holiday treats for all my grandkids classmates and mail the treats to them so they can hand them out in class. The kids love receiving the treats and I love making them for my kids.

My world is Crazy....Busy...Happy and Completely FULL and I'm always going at a FAST PACE. I sometimes meet myself coming as I'm going and what usually slows me down.....is....I run into myself. I can go on about 4-hours sleep a night....so...when everyone else is tucked in for the night....I'm up creating and playing. You'll very rarely hear me say....I didn't have enough time in the day to get 'er done!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE to make cards and 3-D projects and started this crazy papercrafting world as a scrapbooker. I have SO MANY albums of my grandkids and the many adventures of their early years. I have successfully campaigned my oldest daughter into scrapbooking - so I don't feel so guilty doing more cardmaking and less scrapbooking these days. (PS - my daughter Cheryl does some really amazing scrapbooking)

When we moved to Arizona, my DH gave me the "GREEN LIGHT" to create the studio of my dreams. I realized that he was giving unlimited funds and this would be a one time offer and I made the best of it. I created the studio of my dreams. I seriously spend most of my time in my Studio. I have drawers for organizing my stamps......pull outs for my ribbons....drop down table for scrapbooking/crafting buddies to come over and play.....There is basically a place for everything. I would be happy to share my space with you (or anyone else) anytime.
When you visit my blog you will find lots of 3-D projects along with cards that I have made and those that others have made for me. My blog is clean and simple and my biggest thrill is sharing what I've created with others. I don't do much shabby chic - my style is bright - cheery and FUN! I love to use my cricut in helping me create fun projects and elements for my cards. I also use my Big Shot for my 3-D projects and am in LOVE with Stampin' Up! My blog started out to be a place where I could showcase those things that were going on with me in Arizona for many of my family and friends back in Wisconsin...Quickly it turned into a place for me to share my love of this crazy papercrafting world I'm involved in.

.............

My name is Kristy. I'm a wife, a mom (FINALLY), a teacher, and a craft-a-holic! I have been married to my handsome hubby for almost 10 years. After 6 years of trying to be a mommy the stork finally swooped down and dropped a precious baby girl in my lap! (It's kinda true...our adoption story is pretty amazing, but we'll save that for another time!) We also have 2 adorable dogs, they think that they are human! I teach second grade and love it! I also love paper crafting and re purposing items. One day I would love to learn to sew!

My hubby built me a fantastically big desk using cubes from Michaels and a door! For my desktop he used a door, screwed Plexiglas to the top, and then attached the top to the cubes and adjoining wall. Hence the name, craftin' on my DOOR. I had wanted to start a blog forever, and this past summer I finally decided to put my crafty creations out into the blog world. On my blog you will find cards, scrapbook pages, projects, and tutorials. I love sharing my ideas and meeting new friends (through my followers)!

I am so excited to be a CJToo Crafty Designer!

BLOG: www.TXScrapperMom.blogspot.com

I am a wife, a mother and an early childhood teacher...and in that small window of time when everyone is asleep, I'm a crafter and a baker :). I love scrapbooking and card-making, but enjoy altering items and making 3D projects most of all. My lastest addiction is making cookies, cupcakes and cakes - which has turned into a mini side business for me. How do I find the time?! lol When I'm not working or crafting, I spend my time traveling around the world. An interst fact about me: I'm originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, so my son is growing up speaking English, Portuguese and Sign Language at home (daddy is deaf). I always like to tell people that my world may be chaotic, but its mine!!

BLOG: http://shawnsfiresidecraftingroom.blogspot.com/

Thank you very much for allowing me to be on your Design Team. CJ Too Crafty Designer was the very first blog that I started to follow when I started paper crafting in 2006.
I first started scrapbooking in order to create my wedding album – it started with one class and wow look how far it has gone!!! I enjoy altering items, making cards, etching gifts – oh yes and the occasional scrapbook page. I did complete my wedding album but I find that I spend more time on other paper crafts. I am a Cricut addict! I love my Provocraft products – I currently have a Gypsy, Expression, Imagine, E2, Cuttlebug, Yudu Cardshop and even the Knifty Knitter (although I don’t use it – no patience!). I am a member of the Cricut Circle as well as a member of Club Ruby.
I was married in June, 2006 to the most wonderful man!! I was so blessed the day I met him! Mike truly is my soul mate and my best friend. I have a 19 year old son, Jacob – who is currently living in New York City attending American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Some day maybe we will see him on stage on Broadway!! I am a full time nurse with a local clinic – I wear several hats while at work – some days I am not sure which hat I am wearing. I am also a volunteer First Responder and weather watcher.
Paper crafting is my release - I love what I do!!!!
I am a simple crafter – I keep it simple. If you come to my blog you will see all my “simple” projects I have made. My goal is to post weekly to my blog. I hope that you like what you see – please leave comments – I value your feedback and your suggestions.

BLOG: http://carleys-closet.blogspot.com

I am 36 and married to a wonderful husband Rick, for 4 years now and we have a 17 month daughter of course named Carley! She is my pride and joy! I'm new to scrapbooking (started in the fall 2010) and crafting (forever) but decided that I had put it off long enough and I needed to pursue this awesome hobby of scrapbooking/papercrafting! :) I was working full-time when I started crafting, but not now. I’m thinking of going back to college to finish my education in the fall so I’m enjoying the time with my daughter right now and crafting when I can.
My hubby got me the Cricut Expression for Christmas 2010 and I have hit the ground running with it! Love, love, love to use it! I am new to blogging as well as the Cricut Expression; however I seemed to have learned the Cricut much quicker than this blogging stuff! But I wanted to create a blog to post my first Cricut projects because I have to say that I'm quite proud of how they turned out! I know that sounds really boastful, but I'm just so excited about this wonderful present that my wonderful hubby got me and my creative juices are just flowing, flowing, flowing! But on my blog that I started in January of this year, http://carleys-closet.blogspot.com, you will find my creations along with of course some pictures showing off my daughter Carley and her room! Her room was inspired by my infatuation with the Wizard of Oz! Poor thing, I hope she doesn’t hate it when she gets older! J But I’ve collected Oz items for years and had gotten the most items while I was pregnant and planning for her room! My very talented mom did 99.9% of the painting in Carley’s room (I only painted like…..basic colors, backgrounds!) but I did do the Yellow Brick Road myself! I’m not quite sure how I’ll part with that mural if we ever decide to move! Ugh! But we’ll not think about that right now! J
At any rate, I really enjoy reading and browsing everyone else's blogs and getting great, inspiring ideas of crafting! I just love it! I hope that my projects and work that I post are as inspiring as well for many of you as your posts are inspiring to me! I'm open to any criticism or suggestions, and comments on my blog at any time!
God bless and happy scrapping, crafting, or whatever it is you like to create! :-)
      Shelley (Carley's mom)
